• Forest Dew is a health-focused drink that combines a sparkling mineral water profile with tasty hops and a key ingredient called xanthohumol.

  • Xanthohumol is an organic compound found in hops. It's been studied around the world for years, with OSU leading much of the research. The potential health benefits tied to xanthohumol are too many to list here but notably include inhibition of cancer cells along with positive impacts to the gut, liver, and heart.

Unfortunately for IPA lovers, the amount of xanthohumol in beer is not enough to yield any meaningful benefits, but we source a pharmaceutical-grade pure extract derived naturally from hops that dramatically increases the quantity in Forest Dew, making it a true health drink.

  • Yes! In addition to the benefits provided by xanthohumol, the minerals we add to Forest Dew are known to contribute to heart health by lowering levels of bad (LDL) cholesterol and raising good (HDL) cholesterol. Minerals also help to reduce blood pressure in people with hypertension and have several other positive impacts on overall health. Forest Dew is also non-alcoholic and sugar-free.

  • Forest Dew is produced in very small batches using Portland's amazing Bull Run water supply, which we run through sediment and carbon filters before adding mineral salts, hops, xanthohumol, and a pinch of citric acid to brighten the flavor. It's then carbonated and packaged into printed cans which are 100% recyclable.

  • Forest Dew is different than the slew of flavored drinks that are cranked out in huge industrial facilities - we make it by hand with the same talented crew of three that's been producing our award winning beers for years.

Because of its limited scale, you won't find it at places like Costco or Fred Meyer, just come on down to the brewery or our satellite taproom in NE Portland! Forest Dew can also be found at select bottle shops and bars around Portland.
